Monitoring times to events (failures) data is important in many applications, not only in high-yield process monitoring but also in several areas, for example, in the monitoring of the inter-failure times in a failure process, in health-care management, or in the monitoring of earthquake occurrences. Proper monitoring and control chart strategies can make the production process more efficient and provide economic advantages.
